Oxfam Scotland works in formal sector education at policy and practice level to support and promote Education for Global Citizenship and Sustainable Development. within Curriculum for Excellence. Oxfam supports 6 locally based Development Education Centres (DECs) who provide practical teacher support through CPD and innovative teaching projects and resources. Oxfam, the DECs and other NGOs are members of the development education network, IDEAS, collaborating to work at a national level by speaking to government, universities, local authorities and other key agencies across Scotland.
